PATROL NAMES
A.
GO TO WALL MART AND BUY A YARD OF CLOTH WITH A DIFFERENT COLOR FOR EACH
PATROL. THE CLOTH WILL BE 36X54 INCHES. CUT EACH COLOR INTO A 30X30 INCH
SQUARE. THIS WILL BECOMES THE PATROL FLAG THAT EACH PATROL WILL MAKE THE FIRST
FRIDAY NIGHT.
B.
THE REMAINING CLOTH CUT INTO 10 2X6 INCH STRIPES TO ID EACH PATROL
MEMBER. EACH PATROLS NAME WILL BE WHAT EVER BUT THE PATROL COLOR WILL BE IN IT.
(RED DOG PATROL) (GREEN HORNET PATROL)( MEN WORKING [ORANGE] PATROL).
C.
WHAT IS LEFT OF THE CLOTH, CUT EVENLY SO EACH PATROL WILL HAVE EXTRA
CLOTH TO PUT ON THERE FLAG IF THEY DESIRE

SUPPLIES THAT CAN BE SAVED AND USED NEXT YEAR WILL HELP KEEP THE COST
DOWN.
3.
HAVE A COOKING STAFF TO FEED EVERYONE AT THE SAME TIME. THE BOYS GET TO
COOK ALL THROUGH SCOUTING. OUR AIM IS TO TEACH THE BOYS LEADER SHIP NOT
SCOUTING. BUY EVERYONE EATING AT THE SAME TIME WE SAVE TIME AND MONEY, A SCOUT
IS THRIFTY. THIS IS ONE OF THE REASONS THE PROGRAM WORKS.

FRIDAY NIGHT CRACKER BARREL HAVE SOMETHING SUBSTANTIAL, SOUP, GRILLED
CHEESE, OR CHILE, YOU GET THE IDEA AS WE ARE HUNGRY GETTING OFF WORK OR OUT OF
SCHOOL.
5.
COST------$30 FOR EACH BOY----COVERS JLTC PATCH AND TRAINED PATCH AND
FOOD WITH ENOUGH LEFT OVER FOR SUPPLIES. $10 FOR STAFF.
6.
IF AN INSTRUCTOR NEEDS HAND OUT, THEY WILL MAKE THEM AT THERE OWN
EXPENSE. BANK OF AMERICA HAS A COPY MACHINE THAT BOY SCOUTS CAN USE FREE IF YOU
ASK. I AM SURE OTHER BUSINESSES WILL HELP OUT. THRIFTY IS THE WATCHWORD.
7.
STAFF, AN ADULT WILL PARE UP WITH A SENIOR BOY AND TRAIN THE BOY TO TEACH
THE LESSON. THE ADULT WILL BE ON HAND WHEN THE BOY IS TEACHING.
8.
EACH PATROL WILL HAVE A GUIDE WHO WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR HIS PATROL.
9.
SPL AND ASPL’S SHOULD BE EAGLE SCOUTS WHO SHOW AND REPRESENT LEADERSHIP.
10.
THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH HAVING GIRLS AND WOMEN ON STAFF. THEY DO A
GREAT JOB TOO.
11.
THE JUNIOR STAFF WILL ALSO HELP COOK, SERVE, CLEAN UP, AND ANY THING ELSE
THAT NEEDS DOING. MAKE YOUR JLTC BOY RUN.
12.
THE FIRST WEEKEND BOYS ARRIVE FRIDAY NIGHT AS THEY WOULD NOT GET THERE TO
START ON TIME SATURDAY MORNING.
13.
AFTER THE LAST MEAL ON EACH WEEKEND, FIND SOME PLACE TO TEACH BESIDE THE
DINNING HALL. THIS WILL ALLOW THE STAFF WHO ARE NOT TEACHING TO CLEAN IT UP SO
EVERYONE CAN GO HOME AT THE SAME TIME.
